Two Men Formally Indicted for Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder in the wake of the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were taken as evidence.
